While Jonathan, Kate, and I were taking pictures of Ellie in the Lincoln Hall at Northwestern Law School, our parking meter expired at 3:30, the $50.00 ticket was written at 3:33 and we jumped in the car at 3:35 not even realizing we had a ticket till the next day when I turned on the wipers.
Lesson learned -It's cheaper to park in a $30.00 garage - or maybe don't let the meter expire even 1 second in the great city of Chicago since the street cops have great response time.
Oh well I got a couple of good pictures of my grandbaby.
