Soggy,Boggy,Boston

Lots of rain on our first visit to Boston. In fact record breaking. Flooding for a few days then finally Sun, glorius Sun!!
While Jonathan was attending his classes the rest of us ventured out to Walden Pond, home of Henry David Thoreau for two years back in the early 1800's.
I read his book last year discovering that he had a constant flow of visitors. For some reason I thought he lived like a hermit for those two years but his lil cabin sits quite close to civilization and his parents.
The pond was way bigger than I expected in fact it's bigger than Big Lake in AZ which I always thought was misnamed anyway.
Looks like a giant raindrop on David's mouth. :-)

So here's the girls with little Henry. Not sure where Molly was off to?

We scored some fun boots due to all the rain. Never thought I'd wear plaid shoes but these are so fun.

Our last day we went to Concord/Lexington to check out the Minuteman museum and the famous North Bridge (which half was under water)

My most favorite Picture. Just makes me smile :-)

  1. I would love to visit Thoreau's home--what a treat.

And wow, it is weird to see Dave wearing a Harvard sweatshirt!
