Science Fiction Games

Years ago my husband told me I would like this science fiction book that he loved and thought I would enjoy as well.

I don't care for science fiction and could probably count on one hand how many times I've read this genre .

It turned out that I enjoyed Enders Game by Orson Scott Card a lot more than I thought I would.
I was right there with that Wiggins boy.
I read another one of Cards books but it did nothing for me, so I was done with science fiction.

Then a few months ago I read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and really, really liked this one.
I loved Katniss, rooting for her the whole time.

I realized that the two science fiction books -I like have to do with GAMES .

Yeah I like GAMES.

When I was told the premise of both these books I really wasn't interested (come on - a game to the death) but read them anyway and ended up liking them.

Haven't read Collins 2nd book Catching Fire- Doesn't have GAME in the title.

Just kidding, I'm waiting to read it in the summer right before her third one comes out.

So any other GAME books out there?

  2. I loved THE HELP. My favorite book last year. In fact I'm reviewing it for our book club in March.

  3. I was in the 5th grade the last (and only) time I read science fiction. Maybe it is time to give it another try.
