I'm just disgusted that our Governor is so darn greedy and arrogant. Gov. Blagojevich (Bla -goya-vich for my friends out west) was arrested early this morning for trying to obtain financial gain in appointing a new senator. This just really ticks me off. He was caught on tape stating his illegal intentions. I wasn't here when the last governor was sent to jail but what is wrong with these corrupt politicians? What a hypocrite too, apparently when Blagojevich ran for governor he stated he was going to clean up the corruptness. HAH, he just wanted a piece of the pie.
I was living in AZ several years ago when the Feds taped several state reps and caught them stating they wanted money and a percentage of the take when gambling came to AZ. Just makes me sick.
Power and Money make politicians forget why they are there - to serve the people.
I wish the punishments were stricter for these greedy guys. Right now Bush has been asked to pardon Gov. Ryan and you know darn well after Blagojevich goes to jail that Obama is going to be asked the same thing.
I know some you are saying he's innocent until proven guilty, but come on they've got him on tape stating what he wants in return for the new senator appointment. What other illegal things have been going on that we don't know about? I'm sure tons.
This does not help Chicago in trying to get the 2016 olympics here now does it?
I admit I'm not politically savvy. I'm just a stay at home mom, but man this really gripes me when people are so selfish.
